Infants

Picture
Our infant department is staffed with caregivers  who provide an environment of love and concern for your child.  Our caregivers  hold, sing music, talk and play lovingly with each child in their care, supporting their exploration and discovery of the environment.  Partnering and  communicating with our parents is very important to us, and we will work closely  with you to provide a program of care that is right for your child.  As your  child grows, activities to challenge and stimulate learning are provided to develop growth.

Our nursery area  has been designed to create a warm, comfortable and secure place for your baby  to grow, from sleeping in their own crib to being held close for their bottles, we try to create a comfortable, home like atmosphere.

Our staff encourage  language and motor skill development by spending time laughing, cuddling, and tummy time.

As babies grow into  toddlers, it is imperative to create a strong bond with families and caregivers.
We encourage parents to work with their baby's teacher to set up a schedule for  their child to ensure consistency between home and Wesleyan Kiddie Kollege.   Daily reports are sent home to help keep you aware of your child's day and  development.

The ratio of children to teacher is 4 to 1 with a maximum class size of 8.  Diapers are  routinely changed every 2 hours and at any indication of a bowel movement.  They  are fed according to their individual schedule that you and their caregiver have  determined.  We also support breast feeding mothers.  Our staff will partner  with you to ensure continuity between home and school.
